• Chivalry 2 - Launch Known Issues List

    Top Known Issues

    • PC: Epic Games Store friends online status may not be accurate and party invites may fail. This is expected to be fixed in a patch to come very soon after launch.

    • PlayStation 5 users in Asia may not receive access to the PlayStation 4 version of Chivalry 2 due to an unforeseen issue. We are working with Sony to resolve this issue. Chivalry 2 customers on PS are supposed to be granted both PlayStation 5 & PlayStation 4 versions when they purchase the game. However, there is a problem with the PlayStation 5 storefront in the following areas: Japan, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan & Thailand. These affected areas will not receive the PS4 version at launch when bought on PS5 until the issue is resolved.

    • Xbox Series S is running at less than 60 FPS. This is expected to be fixed in a patch to come very soon after launch.

    • In some games, there is a possibility of missing your initial map spawn.

    A note re: Cross-Platform Parties:

    • Cross-platform parties were not a planned feature for June 8 Launch. Our team has worked to pivot to review the possibility of providing the feature of cross-platform parties as quickly as possible. It will not be available at launch on June 8, but the team hopes to bring it online in an update once a development timeline is established.

    Console-specific issues:

    • Xbox One: Customization/weapons are loading in late
    • Xbox One: Sound stutters are still present in the Dark Forest map
    • PlayStation: Japanese region users can rebind X and O button, making entry into customization inaccessible unless they rebind them again

    Gameplay:

    • PC: a small percentage of players may have trouble entering server browser servers. This is under investigation with a potential fix shortly after launch.
    • Players may experience desync when falling off of the pushable siege ramps
    • Players sometimes may not sprint from initial spawn. As a temporary fix, the player should stop and start again.
    • Players during pushable objective stages may teleport briefly

    UI:

    • Alt attack rebinds don’t work specifically on Tournament Grounds
    • Some players will have global rank 1 appear on the scoreboard despite their rank appearing properly in pause menu
    • Some keys can’t be bound as expected
    • Class change menu may appear beyond first respawn
    • Rebinding certain keys will make “Get up” and “special item” binds appear to use console binds

    Customization:

    • Archer secondary weapon skin does not apply the skin in-game
    • Items available for purchase are by default showing “new” notifications

    Maps:

    • Rudhelm Siege - Tower Ramp may launch players
    • Dark Forest - Respawn timers may not be accurate
    • Wardenglade - Camera may be directed towards origin instead of commander during commander speeches

    Gamepad:

    • Gamepad players may battlecry despite selecting other emotes occasionally

    Audio:

    • Heartbeat audio can get in a state between matches where it persists

    Visual:

    • Dx12 VRS can cause visual artifacting on some maps (Tournament Grounds, for example)

    If you have the alpha already installed you do not need to redeem your key again. The alpha will not be active for you to play until today at 10am PST.

  • Known Alpha Issues: April 8, 2021

    We provide this list to you so you can be aware of what type of issues are not intended in the final game, and will be fixed before launch.

    *Note: This is not a full list but a list of some more obvious issues

    Top Known Issues

    • Possibility of missing initial spawn. (Switch teams and/or reconnect to fix)
    • Possibility of spike traps and bear traps being invisible (The dev responsible has been placed in the stockades to think about what they’ve done)
    • VIP may not properly spawn if player dies after accepting VIP spawn prompt
    • VIP may possibly end up in a broken state mid fight
    • Possibility of lingering swingthroughs on weapons (Please let us know what attacks/weapons you are experiencing this with)

    General

    • First spawn of the map doesnt give you your preferred subclass
    • Possibility of getting disconnected when playing as archer class
    • Players at longer distances can pop locations for a few seconds

    Gameplay

    • Players may occasionally appear to slide on some spawns
    • Characters jitter up and down when moving along short objects
    • Movement corrections happen when you jump during attack recovery
    • Rudhelm - Player may have issues getting through Sally doors

    UI

    • items available for purchase by default are showing “new” notifications
    • Next spawn wave widget holds at 0 seconds for longer than intended
    • Social - When switching/ selecting friends on social page UI response is delayed
      Visual
    • Shield may move to right hand when attacking with a Javelin
    • The current female heads shown in character customization are not representative of final art and are still a work in progress
    • Switching teams at the start of the match may temporarily make the player appear on a different team for other users
    • Camera is directed towards origin instead of commander during commander speeches
    • 1P model from 3PP while sliding on first spawn on in progress match
    • 3p camera during initial run in spawns will jitter
    • Dx12 VRS causing visual artifacting
    • Catapult rock appears stuck on the plate for a second after launch

    Audio

    • Cinematic audio may be out of sync depending on load times
    • Heavy sounds are causing other sounds to drop out due to being too loud
    • Chivalry2 will take microphone input as soon as the player reaches frontend - Even if you are not in a party and have voice chat disabled

    Gamepad

    • Emote menu shows an icon for the Right Thumbstick for navigating the emotes
    • L3 + Y to change weapons does not work
    • Holding L3 + X will bring up the emote menu, needs to come up when only holding X
    • INVENTORY - The Next Weapon button (Dpad Right) stops functioning for the Officer class.
    • Xbox controller on PC does not have impulse trigger rumble

    Tutorial

    • Input is denied if done right after entering drag stations

    • Slightly slowed getup time from knockdown, sped up get up time from downed
    • Reduced crouched movement speed slightly

    Buffs

    • Increased Dane Axe damage
    • Sped up Falchion windup
    • Increased size, duration and damage of oilpots, reduced length of on fire effect
    • Kick windup slightly reduced

    Major Nerfs

    • Reduced maul damage and thwack combo time made longer
    • Reduced executioner axe damage and increased combo time
    • Reduced war axe damage and increased combo time
