  • RE: Ban Appeals

    @scrub-daddy You were not banned for “calling a votekick against another player”. You have been banned on at least 8 accounts for teamkilling, votekick abuse, toxic chat, firepotting your own spawn, impersonating an official admin and ban avoidance using alt accounts. You have been recorded by multiple admins over a long period of time on your various accounts and your behaviour has always been the same.

    If it helps you remember, one of your accounts was called “literally a teamkiller” and another was “I like firepotting”. Your griefing has been so bad and consistent that TBS were forced to apply Game Bans to your accounts to try and keep you off official servers.

    Using alt accounts to avoid your ban is against the rules so Karl was completely correct to ban you.

    If you have a complaint against an admin you can contact TBS directly, but bear in mind that they have access to all the evidence of your behaviour.

  • RE: Why is my appeal denied?

    You were banned from Mirage for toxic behavior, you continued this behavior on Chivalry and channels outside Chivalry. However you were solely banned for toxic behavior in Chivalry, more specific:

    General Toxicity and overwhelming rudeness:
    A person who constantly insults others, is being unwelcoming to new players, is actively looking for trouble, deliberately trying to escalate ingame chat and trying to get players riled up through inflammatory remarks.

    You went on to try to evade the ban breaking another rule:

    Ban Circumvention
    Circumventing local bans by use of family share or alt accounts on official server or circumvention of global bans by alt accounts may result in those alt accounts being banned.

    Now you are here pretending to be innocent telling us you have done nothing wrong. Dishonest appeals do not get accepted, if your appeal does not show any improvement in behavior we cannot accept your appeal. If you show any self-reflection and improvement in your behavior we will accept your newly written appeal, you may do so on the previously mentioned thread in the right format.

    Closing this thread as we have already answered your question and this is not the right place to discuss your ban. PM me if you have any other questions about this topic.

    @lonerwurld

    You may have forgotten the rules on official servers :

    Read them again and adjust a ban appeal on our thread:

    Post a decent ban appeal on the correct thread and we will review your case.

    @wolfkinara Nice to see such enthusiasm, but DW has been dead for some years now and I don’t see that changing. Stay tuned for Chiv2 in 2020 :)

    @SkullRider

    Appeal granted, please allow a few days for the ban to be lifted. Make sure not to break the rules again as this is your last chance!

  • RE: Epic store exclusive, seriously?

    @AndersonGarcia You can add a game from the Epic store as a non-Steam game and still use the overlay, etc, so you’re not cutting yourself off. When the game launches on Steam after 12 months, cross-play will also be enabled so it won’t matter if you’re on Steam or Epic once you’re in game.

    Please remember that TBS has to finance their game development for at least 3 years before they receive any money from sales if they only launched on Steam. Epic helps the devs by giving some of the money upfront but Valve isn’t willing to do that for small dev teams. A small team working from home or a huge company with multiple games might be OK, but TBS is only large enough to make one game at a time, but still has a studio and almost 30 employees to pay for. Valve makes so much profit, they could offer a similar deal if they cared to match Epic.

    Final point, even if you buy certain games on Steam, like the Far Cry series, you still have to use the uPlay launcher anyway - except now you also have to link it to Steam which is even more steps and complications. Epic is just another launcher like battle .net, Origin, uPlay, GOG, etc
