It won’t deter me from enjoying my purchase tbh so below is my long term plan of strategy:
Just for the scribes, having spent over 100 hours in beta as alchemancer I have
decided not to rush in now and play the officila pre purchase editoin simply because
they are intending to have a system to put you on servers with similiar skilled players.
So by wating until that happens to be in place I can gradually move in and play
untrestricted as a new player. it does seem silly to rank up fast now before the
larger community is established to find oneself excluded from playing anybody
but the same old players you met in game release. A stragety if you will of waiting.
As the game show’s me as a Rank 1. It might be useful also avoiding the taurant knight
trolls and early farmers of noobs tbh
I definitely agree here, there’s a lot wrong with the team balance. The game really needs mechanisms that force things to be fair, such as party caps in matchmaking games.
One of the worst things about Chivalry is that in every FFA there’s 6 players connected human-centipede-style running around smashing anyone’s heads in. That doesn’t seem like a FFA to me & the game mode is seriously one of the main driving force in any game’s long term activity. If you look at some of the oldest Xbox live games that still have support like Halo 3 – FFA is the only game mode that doesn’t take 3mins to find a game because people are still playing it. It’s a fair, party-less matchmaking system that doesn’t allow stacking. I’d still play Chivalry FFA if it weren’t so stacked but nowadays every FFA server has people who are wrecking it for everyone.
You can have the best game in the world but if you allow people to ruin it, it’s going to tank. Look at the success of DotA, that was all community drive for years before it became DotA2 – the developers need listen to (most) of the people who care enough to give feedback.
Somebody suggested the purchase of goodies should be timed on steam hub a hidden profile i might add:
Utter rubbish, are you trying to suggest yet more undermining of pre purchase special
edition customers. This special edition pre purchase had a copy of chivalry for your
steam account and a beta key. Then somebody gave away the beta keys undermining
the idea of pre order purchase, to add are trying to Change the free copy of Chivalry
for the buyers steam account but trying to suggest it’s no longer applicable if you
already own Chivalry? Now you want the skulls and hats to be timed?
What is the point of buying special edition now by the looks of it TB is trying to chip
away at the description and value of said purchase after sale I might add.
Many customers jumped on the Special pre purchase offer inclusive of a copy of
Chivalry. If they wish to change the terms of that description fine but not to prior buyers
it’s to late, they are obliged to complete that contract of sale. Plus Green man gaming
I noted still has the Special Edition with a copy of Chivalry for your library https://www.greenmangaming.com/games/mirage-arcane-warfare-special-edition/
without adding this not applicable rubbish after sale
Well the open beta sure as hell fixed this problem, at least for the weekend. Really hoping to see more players going forward. Last week was awful there was never more than one west/central server going and some nights there were NONE.
Well it’s the numbers atm 10v10 which attracts players a chance to have a nice brawl. If they reduce that it might not
draw so many new players to the game. The respawn area’s change noted so perhaps later on they could simply make
fighting on the middle grounds more points sort of like a TDM but king of the hill off shoot from Chivalry etc. Really
respawning to find near 4 enemies actually in your base does annoy a lot of players on the receiving end plus some
seem to manage to swop to the winning side adding 2 or more extra players to the mix then.
