Shield bug/exploit (no facehugging)

  • Ok,so this is an exploit that uses up the shitty ingame hitboxes, and makes stabbing through shields very possible and easy without facehugging.
It is possible with almost all weapons that are wielded in the right hand, and with some on the left.

  • Interesting, the odd thing is where your thrusting to doesn’t even look like it should hit the character model.

  • Why don’t you guys pm these to devs instead of posting them all on here for everyone to see?

  • The big question is whether this is fixed in Beta with the tracer fix.

  • Works since the lastest patch, who pretty much bugged the entire game

  • Not sure how it is an exploit, just looks like poor code. Happens to me more times than I can imagine.

But does it happen in Beta - one day the Beta will be back up.

  • Moved to Bug Reports.

    Merged duplicate topics.

  • Shields are completely useless, they might as well be removed.

  • @elitenoob:

This should apply to normal parries too.

  • Thanks for the video. Just goes to show that this game is complete shit if you want to play seriously.

  • Interesting, from the POV of the blocker, it seems they are aiming pretty close to the middle of the screen while the attacker clearly aims away from the model. Does it work only with stabs or are the swings and overheads affected as well?
And it would be interesting to test it with standard parries.

  • You’re stabbing their exposed leg. This isn’t really an exploit to be honest, this is stab dragging without the drag.
I noticed he didn’t aim his block. It’s difficult to block generally, but blocking isn’t supposed to be easy. Jump overheads, stab drags, feint one way go the other, aiming low to conceal where you’re aiming, you need good footwork to make these easier to block; which is why being backed against an object, wall or corner is such a disadvantage.

Stab drag: To stab, and after the wind-up is complete, use the .3 seconds release or more to drag your stab into them, making the contact point as far right or left as possible (in your case hitting the leg, presumably). Most effective when circling a target near point blank.

  • Sorry your wrong… this is not stabbing the leg… this is obviously poor code or hitbox of shield… hopefully it will get fixed soon.

If your using this as an advantage ITS AN EXPLOIT…

  • It doesn’t seem like you have to use that much effort into attacking behind the shield, it can be done without needing to get to your opponents side due to the fact that their parry / block system is quite broken.
