Dual wield
-
I was watching Spartacus and was thinking dual wield would be awesome, only for the dodge class though.
two short swords or something.
-
sounds awesome but how will you block? 0.0

Mainly a dodge way of fighting, though if a block is involved, a left weapon block and right weapon block would have to be implemented, the hardest weapons to block with maybe?
and you wouldn’t block more a parry and slash I presume, maybe a block as normal with one weapon, or for ease of implementing it a cross block?

Two weapons at once isn’t used military style.

Could always be implemented in a mod though.

As far as a mod goes, sure why not?
Realistically though, it wouldn’t fit the theme - soldiers wielding two weapons at once were a pretty rare sight, because:- It’s pretty reckless, as you’re always wide open to attack, ranged or otherwise, and if you’d wear heavy armor to try and compensate, you’d defeat the point of two fast weapons.
- It’s really, really difficult.
-
Moreover the point of dual wielding is the ability to attack from 2 directions at the same time or to parry with one weapon and attack with the other at the same time. Which would require some pretty serious changes in the combat system and it would probably break it.
-
I agree it doesn’t really suit the current mechanics.
I also agree that it’s not very authentic, although sword and dagger isn’t too bad.
-
Only if I can dual wield that massive wavy sword, I really like that one! 8-)

Your first mistake was watching Spartacus.
