What happened to knocking off helmets?

I just realized that I haven´t seen anybody walking around without his helmet for a very long time now.

You can still knock the helmets off of corpses with blunt weapons, but not off of living players as it seems. What happened to that?

You can still knock them off of living players with projectiles, I believe.

I hit players heads more frequently now so I see plenty of them, just try to hit their heads.
