Yep, same problem as alt swings (only way to fix it is by correcting the animations themselves as it starts a good few degrees closer to the area in front of you with a shield), just that less people use shields so it’s less “known”.

Hm, for some reason I just assumed this was an intended feature. You’re carrying less weight so you could swing what was in the other hand faster. That was my reasoning for it at least.

Lets say shield wielders get a speed bonus because they can’t use a riposte ;)
