MAA's are a bit ridiculous now…

  • First you remove the chase advantage unless the enemy is dancing, AND you buff his sprint speed… Now they don’t even need to use that dodge to camp you to infinity, they can just dodge back any attack you do, then run in with a sprint stab from a broadsword. GG. The only way you win a fight with an maa is if HE messes up and gets impatient.

  • cool story bro.

    cool story bro.

u must b a maa noob, backpedaling the game into ruin.

  • The add foe feature in these forums is really quite useful.

  • People aren’t just going to accept that a skilled maa simply has an advantage in a 1v1 fight are they?

    lol

Sure this was normal that a knight could be faster than a maa with this system, perfectly balanced, the slowest class can become the fastest, so good for bad facehugger.

AND you buff his sprint speed

No it was 330 in the previous version, now it’s 336 i believe, the acceleration change don’t really change something.

  • Sprint speed is the same.

    MAA’s are built for 1v1s.

The game is not about duels, its about teamwork.

Backpedaling is so OP, isn’t it. NERF WALKING BACKWARDS!!

  • Broadsword & buckler more noob.

  • MaAs are OP, especially way more now with their buffs and no more combo feint parry to help control distance against them more. This game rewards defensive patient play now which is what all good MaAs do. You play TO, you see an MaA, he plays patient and waits and you know better than to try hitting him, so you wait and stare at him for 10 mins, then his team shows up and you die or you have to run. It’s pretty boring and anti-fun.

So OP has every right to complain. MaAs were OP before, now they’re even more OP. There shouldn’t be “this class is 1vs1 superior made for it” because Chivalry really is designed around 1vs1 scenarios even in a big open battlefield. No class is designed for super close quarters team vs team combat, it’s just a TK fest where knights and vanguards die just like MaAs and archers in it. So, no, MaA shouldn’t be “1vs1 king.” Every class should have an equal chance of winning against any other class in 1vs1, because Chivalry is built for big battles in micro fights.

At least when it comes to pubs. Clan battles are a totally different thing.

  • They have taken a noticeable upturn… that much is agreeable.

  • @Rodelero:

    cool story bro.

If you’re a grown adult using that term I respectfully ask that you go and drink a cup of battery acid, thank you.

  • try a vanguard, if your problem still exists… the issue is you.

That or I just grab a maul and smash their head in one hit. If i see them in TO, i absolutely attack them… ya just don’t attack while out of range any longer… or you wait for them to dodge or attack and either parry or chase them… pretty easy to kill IMO.

And if you’re talking about skilled players… they’re gonna be harder to kill no matter what class. So grab a claymore, greatsword, zwei, or maul and go to town.

  • Clannies not classes are OP.

  • MaA is actually vulnerable to feints now that dodge has a cooldown, and it’s a little bit slower and doesn’t go quite as far so if you feint him while sprinting forward you can close the distance. And since they can’t attack at the start of dodge, they won’t be able to just dodge back while winding up to interrupt your feinted attack.

People just need to adjust how they play against MaA, spamming whirlwind combo walls and feinting when you need to parry doesn’t work anymore.

This this this this this. People need to learn to adapt.

This… I’ve already encountered good knights who have adapted. Thankfully not many have adapted yet.

If you aren’t looking for 2v1’s in a team game, you’re doing it wrong.
