Any changes to the flail yet?



  • I haven’t played in 2 months.

    Just wondering if they changed the flail? It feels faster now, and with better range. No idea if it’s competitive just yet, as I haven’t tested it properly. But between the heavy flail and the normal flail, which one do you deem the best?

    Also, are these values still correct https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc … Znc#gid=77 ? Swing times and some damage numbers seem way off, especially for the claymore and the spear/brandistock



  • Last patch made the flails a lot faster, and this next patch (currently in the beta) will make both of their overheads .5 seconds faster as well.

    Pre-buffs I prefered the normal flail because its tracers were so out of whack and I needed that extra range for actually hitting enemies when comboing. After this patch, I prefer the heavy because both flails combo overhead extremely fast and the heavy flail’s is just that much more deadly. The normal flail does have some deceptively large range on its overhead, however, but I still prefer the heavy since this patch.

    Well, it says up top “Content Update 1”, so I would say it’s safe to assume it hasn’t been updated in several patches.

    And as SOC said, Flail has been sped up in its release and combo times, and next patch we’ll be touching up the windup a bit too.
