Triple Monitor support thread

  • After quite a bit of Googling, I found pretty much zero support for triple monitors in regards to this game.

    I did, however find a support for a different Unreal Engine game, and after a bit of trial and error, I uncovered the setting that fixed my overall problem.

    The problem I was having is that opening up the game in a triple monitor resolution reduced the available fov to a very small band people normally see in the center of their widescreen monitor.

    these images have been scaled down for demonstration purposes, all FOV 90

    The fix:
    open UDKEngine.ini in a text editor (I used notepad)
    found in: %windowsloginid%\Documents\my games\Chivalry Medieval Warfare\UDKGame\Config\

    find
    [Engine.LocalPlayer]
    AspectRatioAxisConstraint=AspectRatio_MaintainXFOV

    change only one letter, XFOV becomes YFOV

    fixed
    [Engine.LocalPlayer]
    AspectRatioAxisConstraint=AspectRatio_MaintainYFOV

    Now if only we could move the HUD elements like Stamina and Health from the left side monitor to the center, and this would be completely done. If anyone knows how to move the HUD elements, would appreciate if you could post here or contact me through steam (http://steamcommunity.com/id/ranx007).

    Cheers, and hope this helps someone. :)

  • I would also like to note that when I ran the game in resolutions with GREATER than 1080 height, it moved HUD elements like stamina and health completely off screen. The only solution I had to that is using a resolution 1080 or lower for height. This could also be solved by moving HUD elements, I hope either someone can find the appropriate setting or a developer can shed some light on this setting, since I would like to move the HUD elements around.
