I hear a lot that Chiv is a CPU-intensive game. Does it need higher speed processing or multiple cores? Both would be good but if it’s just higher speed processing, I can overclock to compensate a bit. If it’s multiple cores, I might have to do an upgrade.

I doubt the engine takes advantage of multiple cores.
Overclocking might even give you a speed advantage in game.
It mainly uses 1 core, with a bit of use on a 2nd core.
Raw CPU power is best, however you have the rest of your OS to think about. So multiple cores helps there too.
