A few noob questions



  • Hello everyone,
    For the last few days, i’ve been working on my first map on the udk, a small dueling arena. However i have a few questions/issues (surely easy things to fix for people who know how to do it :p):
    1. I have placed aocplayerstarts and set them to be ffa spawners, buut when i launch it in the editor (with the green arrow), i can’t spawn.

    2.When i launch the PIE, i have the moor music, how can i disable it?

    3. I am using the lava material but in sort of “pools”, so how do i make the material static (not flowing)?
    4.How do i change the round length?

    5.Is there a way i can set some “priority” for the spawning order?

    6. I’d like to be able to pickup weapons on the ground or tables,(as crushed did) and make it so that it ignores the player class (like a knight with a claymore) but i don’t even know how to make weapons pickable. Can someone explain to me?

    1. As described in the documentation they provided on the sdk found here https://tornbannerjira.atlassian.net/wiki/display/CHIVCOM/Level+Design ul have to set it to EFAC_ALL and build ur paths.

    3. there are some 2Dtexture files wich are lava and im pretty sure u can make ur own material. this might help u on ur way http://udn.epicgames.com/Three/InstancedMaterials.html

    4. check this page https://tornbannerjira.atlassian.net/wiki/display/CHIVCOM/Level+Design it can be changed in the kismet of the map under this section = “Round Times and Basic Setup Kismet (Check the example maps!!!)”
