Youtube permission

  • Hey Devs, TB…

Are you guys still cool with us making youtube videos? If so, a lot of us used your permission template to post in the description of our videos so that they don’t get flagged by youtube.

Can you put that back on the site somewhere so we can access that again, rather than having to email for youtube permission?

  • Dude.

    Get partnered.

Then you don’t need to worry about permission to upload footage from games.

  • i AM a youtube partner. If you’re talking about partnering with another youtube company, not really interested in that. I only really make chiv videos because it’s pretty niche, or WAS. I don’t do it for money, just for sharing cool/fun times playing chiv. Plus if you partner with another company, you can’t use the music you want.

  • Were your videos taken down for some reason?

  • Were your chivalry videos automatically brought down?

Yeah partnering with YouTube is bad and doesn’t give you protection.

I partnered with a gaming network so hey will handle anything that comes up to do with games.

And what do you mean you can’t use the music you want? You can only use royalty free music anyway unless you get permission. And some networks have sound a is with find of “non royalty free” music which you can use.

It was the naked Mason Archers that did it.

  • If you go to http://www.chivalrythegame.com/blog/support click on the drop down menu and click “Youtube Permission”, you will get this:

Hey there Youtubers and Youtuber Partners,
We would love to have you put up videos of our game, Chivalry: Medieval Warfare and are more than happy to have you doing this whether you are a youtube partner or not. So you have my explicit permission to put up videos of our game on youtube and are free to have ads running before them.

Thanks and look forward to your videos,

that’s what i was looking for thanks. Prior to me posting this, it was not there I dont think.

To the others, you can use whatever music you want as long as you don’t monetize the videos, trust me because i use whatever music i want. Theres a message you get but you can just hit okay and all is well in youtube ville. No, none of my videos have been taken down, but i wil have to reply to youtube after every video i make to give them this information kimi just posted… so instead of it just going up, i have to explain myself to youtube. Easier to just put that in the description prior to uploading it.

    My problem is solved.

  • Thank you for bringing this to our attention. The template has been added to the faq section of the Torn Banner website as well.
