Text overlays cause a huge FPS drop (player names/objective)

Text from player names and objectives and such cause a big FPS drop.
To test, create a new game on an objective mode. Enable the HUD using “H” key. Look at an objective marker. Disable the HUD using the “H” key.
Following this, my FPS hits 120 without HUD text and 65 with HUD text.In an actual populated game, such a large drop could mean getting 20-30fps.
Possibly relevant specs:
Windows 8 Pro with Media Center x64
AMD Radeon HD 7970, 1920x1080 @ 120hz
AMD FX-8350
16GB RAM
Verified game cache, deleted all config files in mydocumentsEdit: Restarting my PC and doing a load of other things seemed to have fixed this… No idea what it could have been, but a user I found through Google reported the same issue, and I had it before at one point
