If you are going all time:
Sonic the Hedgehog 2
Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
Final Fantasy IX
Personal list. I was not fortunate enough to own many systems growing up. I had only the Genesis and N64 for much of my childhood.

Fuck. Yes. I actually played Shining Force 3 scenario 2/3 on an emulator with a translation patch recently (I know, piracy, etc., but c’mon it’s criminal they only released the first part outside of Japan) and remembered how awesome that series was.
Also I think you just responded to a cleverly disguised spambot. :P

Spam bot or not he mentioned Dark Souls and gave me a boner. That’s good enough.

Top five games that I still would power up and play.
1: King’s Field: The Ancient City (Amazing fps fantasy action game, and creepy as hell.)
2: Wild Arms (Strategy RPG classic I can’t forget.)
3: Legend OF Dragoon (Beautiful RPG game that taught me to appreciate storylines in video games.)
4: Azure Dreams (Tactical RPG classic that I could play a million different ways)
5: Castlevania: Symphony of the Night (Action platformer with a fun gothic twist)
And since someone said Dark Souls… Some consider Kings Field to be the spiritual successor to Demon’s Souls, which made Dark Souls. If you have a PS2 still running, I’d really recommend it.

My top 5 favorite games of all time
- Age of Chivalry - Best medieval combat game out there.
- Majesty the fantasy kingdom sim - Horribly addictive RTS where you have no direct control but the npcs respond to monetary incentives.
- Dragon ball Z budokai - the dragon ball Z series of fighting games are horribly underrated. They’re really fun.
- Baldurs gate 2 - An rpg with a great storyline, cool crafting system, and awesome gameplay.
- Pokemon Gold - I put a vast amount of time as a child into my pokemon gameboy game.
I made my list but forgot to mention Darkfall, the best MMORPG i ever played. Call it number 6.

#1: Ogre Battle 64 - Still love it. Wish there was more stuff out like this, but hey.
#2: The Total War Series - Yeah I know putting a ‘series’ is technically cheating, but they are all rather even in my eyes.
#3: Ultima Online - Haven’t played it in an eternity, but it’s something I find myself talking about way too damned much.
#4: Mount and Blade: Warband - Way too good. Way, way too good to not list. So many mods, so much awesome that you craft for yourself.
#5: Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance - First FE game I ever played, still the best in my opinion.
