Team damage = Penalty respawn time.



  • As the topic says.

    Its a bummer many players LMB their way trough the entire game, not showing the slightest stitch of respect for their team mates. Because as long as they get a good kill/death ratio…

    Why not throw in a penalty system forcing players to wait extra respawn seconds after inflicting team damage?

    Then everyone can be happy?

    A damn good idea.

    Maybe a server option that immediately kills you and forces a 30 second respawn time after you score a team kill.

    Also, your country makes some damn good knives.



  • I’d also love to see an implementation of mirrored damage as a %, means if they TK or even LMB spam they’re more likely to die or suicide :P

    Not the same as suggested, but this is a system used by other games.
    Expected release as soon as SDK goes live (will include damage/kill count from siege weapons and firepot aswell).



  • It’s a good idea but it need to be less vague.
    Here is what I propose :

    You respawn
    You hit a teamate 1 -> Personnal message : Don’t harm your teamates 1/5
    You hit a teamate 2 -> Personnal message : Don’t harm your teamates 2/5
    You hit a teamate 3 -> Personnal message : Don’t harm your teamates 3/5
    You hit a teamate 4 -> Personnal message : Don’t harm your teamates 4/5
    You hit a teamate 5 -> Personnal message : You harmed your teamates too much, you will only respawn in 2 waves

    If you die, the counter reset to 0



  • Unless a person is a dedicated team killer and/or completely useless this sort of mechanism will further disadvantage the player’s team, not only did he inflict team damage but now the team will also be down a player for a longer period of time.

    or gaining a player in that the person he/she would’ve otherwise killed will still be alive :P

    the point would be to reduce team damage - at the moment there’s little penalty for lmb spamming, adding such penalties will hopefully have the effect of making people a bit more careful thus reducing team damage and aiding the team
