What do you think about "play time helmet"

  • For example, play time 500hours helmet or 1000hours helmet
you know there are so many people whose rank change 25 to 45
so play time helmet would be FAIR

  • Find an empty server and just idle your character for a week.

but atleast there isn’t rank bug. and if you just idle in any server, you will be kicked

And then you can get ridiculed by your friends for playing 200+ hours a fortnight. Damn steam tracking playtime.

  • Can’t you just idle in the main-menu?

  • It would be a fine idea if it wasn’t so easy to abuse it.

Honestly, rank helmets are close to this anyways. There’s a mathematical time requirement for each helmet as it stands, at the most perfect kill per second efficiency; but it usually takes much longer than that because we aren’t machines, we get bored, goof around, etc…

Time played is a bit too easy.

  • Number of kills

  • Easy to abuse, but then stats/helmets aren’t a major thing for me… I’d rather be playing and having fun!

I’d like to see new shield/outfit/logos though for rank. Would actually give people something to attain and visually set people aside from the lower ranks. At the moment apart from a couple of 30+, 40+ 50 helmets the rank system is fairly arbitrary.

It’d be nice to have certain patterns and logos opened up at certain levels.

That would only be 168 hours. If someone is so desperate that they want to sit idle on some phantom server that would let them for 5-6 weeks for a helmet, more power to them. In the meantime, why not have a play time helmet? In the end, it represents your skill level a little more accurately than rank (due to that weird bug going on that raises ranks) as you probably will be pretty good after 1000 hrs. For those that cheat to get this helmet, they would just be making themselves targets to real vets on the field, so it would be a self-medicating issue.

  • @afiNity:

    Number of kills

Why not number of kills. Of course you can abuse it but it’s still better than rank or playtime. 10000 kills = first helmet sounds good.

Well ranks are supposed to be number of kills, although that’s not the case because some jumped to 46 by doing jack shit.

Well ranks are supposed to be number of kills, although that’s not the case because some jumped to 46 by doing jack shit.

And that’s exactly the reason why kills are more reliable.

Atlhough is weighted in favour of people who play large FFA instead of duels/lts since in FFA you rack up many times the amount of kills
