Purchasing - Steam and other places

  • Sorry if this has been said, but couldn’t readily find it. Does this game ultimately install on Steam regardless where you purchase it? Or does non-steam versions get sold at places like Gamersgate with their own installers?

I have no issue with Steam but just wasn’t sure if in the end that all versions require it to play. Thanks!

  • Here http://www.chivalrythegame.com/blog/?page_id=1391

When you purchase the game over the site via paypal you will get a steam cd key which will be redeemed in steam and be played on steam.

if you purchase over paypal you will directly invest your money to the devs

  • But regardless of where I buy, do they all ultimately just provide a steam key to be activated? Or does Gamersgate for example have their own non-steam version? Just trying to see the options. Ultimately I’ll likely buy from here, but just curious.

  • Nothing wrong with Steam, when it was released, or now. Not sure why people can see anything wrong with it.

Never said I had any issue with steam and actually said the contrary….I was just inquiring on the options available. I have many games on steam.
