Game keeps crashing after this patch



  • it crashs on [
    joining in a server running the citadel map;
    servers changing map;
    leaving a server;
    randomly;
    ]
    and theres no crashing message…

    and it seems,every time i hit some one or get hit,my ping just doubles itself,lags as hell

    oh,btw,the DW beta,before this patch i can play it,ye,buggy but i can. now…

    gtx 660
    i7 3470
    drivers and windows are uptodate at 2013-10-27 (UTC+08:00)

    verified game cache a dozen times,4 files failes and downloads 800 byte after everytime game crashes,

  • Hi had that problem for 2 days and here is what i tried that seem to be working…for now…

    1. Uninstall the game and delete everything under: C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\chivalrymedievalwarfare\

    2. Basically follow what steam has in their troubleshoot section for this game (though the steps were described as for XP, but it seem to be doing the trick for window 7)

    1. Exit Steam.
    2. Go to the Start menu, select Run, type regedit and click OK.
    3. Navigate to the following registry key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\VALVE
    4. Right click and select Permissions
    5. Check the Allow boxes for Admin and System for both Full control and Read.

    3. reinstall the game!

    my game haven’t crashed ever since…but only time would tell :)

    it a shame cause i brought the game when we ran so well during the free weekend (only the weapon unlock was a problem, that i now thinks i can live with).

    i deleted mygame\cmw folder couple times trying to fix this …
    heres i got

    there are part of the crashes end up with “ran out of video memory” after i deleted all files that related to the game and reinstalled it. these logs ends like this:

  • I think whatever that has been happening was originating from Steam. Cause when i tried to reinstall the game many times it still has the 4 files failed to validate.

    Today however, I uninstalled steam and cleaned out all the associated files and reinstalled everything, to my amazement the game validated without a hitch…so far :D



  • Ok, after reinstalling steam and reinstalling the game i did a validation before i played it. It passes with no issue. But after 15 minutes of playing the game crash and again the validation failed with 4 files failed to pass……i want my money back T____T
