Can't write in chat after death

This is by far the most annoying thing this game does to me.
When I die and want to use the chat it sometimes just “breaks”.
Meaning I can’t write anything anymore for the rest of the game.

Edit: reconnecting does solve it but it fucks up my sound 1/3 times

Press TAB, press B and then let go of TAB. You should now be able to type in chat (you may have to select a name from the scoreboard).

you can also use the console to chat. You do this by using the SAY command:
say whatever you want to say
