How to test damage values of the different weapons?

    i would like to know how i can test the damage values of the different weapons vs different classes with different animations (stab, swing etc.)

    since the game has no damage numbers floating around if you hit someone (which is good) how can it be tested?

  • Thinking about it are you sure the Brandistock stats are real?? 90 for a overhead…its a spear.



  • The spears don’t have a real overhead attack. Their overhead is actually a slower, more damaging stab.

    Are these values correct? I mean:

    PierceBlunt:
    Pierce = 0.5
    Blunt = 0.5

    That should come out as 0.75, not 0.85

    SwingBlunt:

    Blunt = 0.5

    And according to this, it should be 0.65 rather than 0.75

    PowerZ, it should be as you say, 0.75 for PierceBlunt and 0.65 for SwingBlunt. Hybrid damage types can never be higher or lower than what they are a mix of. The spreadsheet already took into account the correct values as it did the calculation in a different way.

    I agree it would be nice to have some real information. I want to know exactly what attack provides what base damage (so people know which is the most damaging attack) and what damage type it does. When it comes to speed and range, a simple ‘Slow, Moderate, Fast’ and ‘Short, Medium, Long’ would be far more informative than the current system. Range, 50%? 50% of what?

  • Omg… Please remove fists or make them do hardly any damage, Hell they even have more reach then some of the weapons!! What were they thinking??(if at all)



  • Fists are fun and by no means viable to use against a skilled opponent. The inability to block is such a gigantic weakness they could do twice the damage they do now and not be superior to a dagger.



  • Is there any reason to use an axe or mace over the faster (other than hatchet), longer and stabbier falchion?

    What are the multipliers for head/arm/leg hits?
