UE3ShaderCompileWorker.exe while loading custom maps.



  • I have been testing custom maps as often as I can and one thing I noticed is that several of them take a long time to load when you join a server. Upon investigation, I found 4 instances of UE3ShaderCompileWorker.exe running in my Task Manager. These will sometimes remain running after the map is loaded and sometimes they go away. I am not sure exactly what they do and if this is something that needs to be fixed in compiling the map or it is just what UDK does. Any ideas?
