Authentication FAILED ! when i try to join a server

Hello,
i bought chivalry on the steam sale played for 3 days but now every time i join a server it says Authentication failed
restarted game
restarted steam
restarted pc
restarted router
and i veryfied integrity of game cachebut i still get the error every time i try to join a server really irritating.

Restart Steam, then verify the integrity of the game cache multiple times. That’s the only way I was able to get it to work.

Indeed - there’s been some issues with steam. This wasn’t limited to Chivalry e.g. DayZ was having problems too. If after a verify of the game cache you’re still having problems, please post back. thanks :)
