UDK.exe stopped working, but Beta works….........



  • Not sure what the deal is. I used to be able to play this game during steams free to play weekends. The only thing I have changed is my video card, from an ATI Radeon HD 6770, to an R9 270x. Everything is up-to-date, and I have tried every single fix listed, to no avail. I have tried launching the game through steam and the udk.exe directly, in 32 bit and 64 bit, nothing works, game just errors during the launch splash video.

  • Mine does the same thing here Windows 7 -64bit, UDK.exe literally stops working, when you check the My Games……Launch log files only part of a line shows up like it just stops the program and stops logging mid-line or mid-word or mid-process, the executable just says, ''that’s it I’m done I’m outta here going to play Guildwars 2"lol

    NOTE: it doesn’t even finish printing the file name, I’m guessing it wanted to type out UDKCharInfo.ini

  • I wish I could get answers. Obviously this is a large issue, and it isn’t just affecting a few people. If we could just get the devs to at least just comment on our issue it would show they at least read this.

    I have tried that one multiple times, and still doesn’t work. Replaces 5 files everytime, but never launches.

  • Just to say I’m getting the UDK.exe crashes too. Nightmare.

    It’s hard to tell; the beta still has the “black screen of death” issue that got sorted on live.
