Smooth curve with static meshes
I’m just not getting this, how do you get something to appear smooth, i mean like a smooth piller which appear round rather than made up of say 16 side or 32 or what ever?
Most of my pillars are using this mesh StaticMesh’CHV_CS_Church.church1.SM_CH1_Pillar’, it only has 1 UV channel set, its based on a 16 sided shape, yet when it is lit it doesn’t have 1`6 sides its rounded?? Yet we are meant to use 2 UV channels aren’t we??
So I don’t really get what is going on, and I want to be able to create other cylinder which are rounded like this (mainly my tower, which have holes for windows and doors - so i need to make separate meshes for them.
Anyone know what is going on - or how to achieve that a cylinder that looks smooth rather than multi sided?

I don’t know about pillars but with squares you have to smooth them.
