Server disconnects me everytime



  • Hello,

    i have a vServer and on this vServer i got steam and downloaded the Dedicated Server.
    and tried to get it work.

    Portforwarding on firewall and such things are all done.

    But my game freezes on Server Join everytime

  • If I recall right, you don’t even have to set -dedicated=true for the Chivalry server software.

  • Yeah I got that, but try removing the dedicated=true, none of my servers run it. Also multihome isn’t really needed to set, unless you actually have multiple IPs to the vServer. Just things to rule out they couldn’t be the cause.

  • Then it really sounds like a possible port forward issue.



  • The log drops out in the middle of reading a stats ini. However there are a few things it’d be good to rule out; firstly if it’s a problem with the server setup it’d be worth reverting back to stock maps/mods, in case any of the workshop stuff is causing problems (and some of them have caused havoc with servers in the past :P)

    Is anyone else able to connect? Just curious about the dropping out when reading the udkstats.ini at the end. Could try renaming the config folder in your my docs./my games/chivalry/udk folder (of the client) and trying again (in case one of the players stats has picked up a setting/corruption that’s upsetting the server)

    Also, I don’t know the setup of the network, but do you actually need multihoming on?
