Failed to load map, can't find file

  • I’m trying to host a server running my map. My map is on the steam workshop here: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=233350337&searchtext=

Following some tutorials I set up a .bat file with this in it:

    “C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\chivalry_ded_server\Binaries\Win32\UDKLogging.exe” AOCFFA-FallToYourDeath2?steamsockets? -dedicated=true -skdfileid=233350337

However I get this issue: http://i.imgur.com/DUh5wfy.png

Is there anything specific I’m doing wrong? There are so many resources saying different things I don’t know if I should even use the UDKLogging.exe.

I cooked and uploaded the map to the steam workshop from the same PC very recently, so I don’t see how it can’t find the map.

Try starting with a vanilla map like Stoneshill first, with the -sdkfileid tag in there.
Let it download the map, restart the server, then start it with your falltoyourdeath map.

Huh. Something is wrong with the package on the Workshop - it has two shader cache files in it, but doesn’t have any maps. Can you try recooking and reupload it? Are there any errors during cooking?

  • Very strange indeed, I just did a clean and full recook, then uploaded it to the workshop again. Here’s a pastebin of the details: http://pastebin.com/B0qTizh5

As far as I can tell there was only one warning and no errors.

  • Okay, it looks like I cooked the wrong UDK file, from about 6 months ago. Silly me, I think it was a file that I cooked with the old interface or something. So the server seems to be working now. Thank you for your time Crustacean and Raizio. :)
