Are you talking about the launcher?

Just press cancel when it asks you to download the content. You’ll get in the server without needing to sit through the download.
Also chill out with the Lemon hate. He’s been very good recently.

If you’re not talking about the launcher, it shouldn’t be downloading anything unnecessary. A log file might be helpful for us.

I’ve had it happen with me too, I’ve had to download the same map multiple times on a server. Hasn’t actually happened recently, but I have experienced this.
