Help with custom map server rotation!

  • Hello, this is my first time hosting servers for Chivalry: Medieval Warfare and I’ve been running into a problem that happens consistently. No matter what I have my maplist set to, it does not follow it, adds several unwanted vanilla maps, and alters the order entirely. Here is the section of UDKGame\PCServer-UDKGame that I have been editing:

Hopefully someone can help ASAP. As for my startup parameters in the .bat file here they are:

    CD “C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\chivalry_ded_server\Binaries\Win64”
    UDKLogging.exe AOCLTS-ThroneRoom_P?steamsockets?modname=LASERSWORD -dedicated=true -seekfreeloadingserver -sdkfileid=233650761 -sdkfileid=234486002 -sdkfileid=208196334 -sdkfileid=196394167 -sdkfileid=208277394

  • Developer

First guess: mod config is overriding it? Delete LASERSWORD.ini from UDKGame/CookedSDK/lasersword_

  • @CrustaceanSoup:

Exactly what it was, I hadn’t thought about the mod folders at all. Thanks again for your help!

  • yeah I just had this problem on my server after the patch, the trick is you cannot change yuor maplist once you install a mod, so make sure it has the maps you want to play in the maplist before you install it on your server.

uninstall your mod, set up map list, reinstall mod - restart server and it should work just fine.
