Static Meshes - Clarification



  • Could anyone who is really familiar with UDK and the CMW maps clarify the difference between the assets in this screenshot from Moor?

    The areas circled in blue are static meshes that are selected and can be found in the content browser. However, the areas in red (background pine trees; rocks on ground; grass) cannot be selected. I assumed they were static meshes as well, but they seem to be different…

    Any ideas? Thanks :pride:



  • Mmm… if you place them with the Foliage tool it creates groups of static meshes of its own. You can select them using that tool.

    Thanks mate, this is exactly what I needed!

    I think this SDK subforum needs a “Chivalry UDK Mega Questions” thread for newbs like me to ask random questions like this to prevent cluttering and act as a quick reference for other Chiv players who find map making daunting but want to learn more.
