Alrighty…
So I’ve got a little bit of cash lying around, and I’m torn between these two beauties. This baby- http://kultofathena.com/product.asp?item=500670
Or this hot piece of steel. http://kultofathena.com/product.asp?item=500664
Both are pretty cheap as is, but I might hold out until Museum Replicas lists one of them on sale. But in the meantime… which one???

Both, then sell them at a marked up price and repeat, easy profit…

Swords are typically pretty easy to get rid of (especially since there’s a designated sword shop in my area), so I could just pawn it off and reclaim my cash if I didn’t like it, but I wouldn’t try to screw someone.
But boy, the fuller on that Viking blade is just begging for some Amon Amarth lyrics to be engraved there… I think I know a guy…

Get an Ulfbehrt
-
get the viking one

EU namber one
-
buy a glorious american sword

I’ve made a decision.
I’ll buy whichever one Museum Replicas lists as Deal of the Day first.

Windlass does make an Ulfberht at a good price, but the “inlay” on the blade is actually spelled the way the counterfeit Ulfberhts were spelled. Crucible steel swords were marked +ULFBERH+T, while the imposters were branded as +ULFBERHT+. As a matter of fact, I really like the blade profile on that sword, especially the spatulated tip, but I just can’t bring myself to love it.
If I ended up with the European blade, I would have to do a new wrap on that grip. Might blue the hilt furniture as well.

"Do not concentrate on the finger or you will miss all of the heavenly glory! "

I’d never buy a sword to function as a wallhanger. To me, it’s only cool or interesting if it’s a functional piece of equipment, bonus points if it has historical bearing. I like to cut with mine.
Besides, IMHO, most wallhangers sold are balls-to-the-wall ugly.
