Flinching Ripostes?
-
Are they supposed to be flinched? 70% of the time ripostes are unflinchable and 30% of the time they are, why can’t we make it consistent?
I think all ripostes should be flinchable like normal attacks, a maul knight should not be able to riposte overhead everywhere when getting 2v1ed and be able to get free hits for days…
Or am I just hitting them while in riposte release? How does riposte W + R + R/C work?
-
Its the sprint bug is why they are flinchable.
-
Making all reposes flinchable will be the last nail in the knights coffin, but if you run its your own fault

Ripostes have always been flinchable on every class. Now it’s inconsistent and promotes mindless spamming when being 2v1’d.

No they haven’t. And there is no inconsistency.
You will get flinched if you take 80+ damage during your riposte though, or if you are sprinting (due to that sprint FiR bug).

Flippy is just hating because internet you know.
-
I’m fairly sure ripostes were always flinchable before.
And to certain extent it is inconsistent. You can’t really tell if they’ll be sprinting when your attack is actually entering release. Too much luck involved to my liking.
-
the whole game revolves around luck because of flinch in release
-
And that is wrong, isn’t it?
But hey, UI!
The only way I’d forgive yout TB, is that UI patch also including 1st person deaths.
-
There is no luck, you just stop running then you are about to be hit.
You learned blocking, you will learn to let go of that sprint key

WOW such true man 10/10, flinch in release is awesome now that you enlightened me.

If your footwork consists of sprinting you’re doing it wrong.*
-
If your footwork consists of footwork you’re doing it wrong. Proper combat includes standing still, no dragging, no feinting. Just lmb vs rmb fight.

Idiot. Proper combat is Longwords, Knights only, Final Moor.

Your both retarded. It is about you standing toe-to-door with the outhouse with falchion.

Keep it on topic guys.
I haven’t confirmed this yet myself, but I think the only time ripostes become flinched is during sprint or 80+ damage (the FiR line of code discovered a little bit ago now). It’d be nice if someone could test and confirm or deny this.
