Game crashing on startup every time

    I’m getting this error every time. I’ve tried reinstalling the game and verifying the game integrity and it’s still not working. Safe mode and 32bit mode don’t work either. It only started crashing after the most recent patch.

    I can provide any crash logs required I just need to know which files you might need to look at.

  • I actually got it working in 32bit mode. Testing with others now.
    Edit: It works in 32bit mode and 32bit safe mode but none of the others.

    aside from the reinstalls, have you tried renaming the \Documents\my games\Chivalry Medieval Warfare\UDKGame\Config folder?

  • Just a shot in the dark but sometimes UE3 executables get flagged by antivirus/registry protection softwares for false positives. So if anyone having the crashing problem is running AV software, check to make sure it’s not keeping the process from starting.



  • I’m also running into the 64bit crash… ever since I upgraded my CPU to 4790k and reinstalled Win7. It’s a fresh install of Chivalry, but I’ll try and rename the config folders tonight and see what happens. Very odd that 32bit runs perfectly though. :(

    Next up, can you provide your launch.log when you try to run 64 bit?
