CMW female models

  • Omg I am cracking up laughing. I was comparing warband and CMW since the Steam stats are relatively strong for CMW.

And look what I came across in wikipedia as criticisms for CMW?

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chivalry:_Medieval_Warfare

The game received generally favorable reviews with a Metacritic score of 79/100 based on 24 different critics.[27] IGN gave it a 7.9/10, praising its medieval style ultra-violent multiplayer gameplay, but also mentioned that the game had a limited number of classes.[citation needed] AusGamers gave the game a 90/100 noting that the game’s only downfalls were the lack of different environments and a few bugs.[citation needed] Torn Banner has received some criticism for its stance when confronted by players on the lack of female models(even as NPCs) in the game, despite it being a fictional title and world with no historical accuracy. The lead developer, Steve Piggott, made a statement that “adding female characters to a game like this would make it appeal less to females” due to the “maturity level of the FPS community.”[28][29] The game received 2012 Indie of the Year on Indie DB.[30]

I think the only person that was vocal about this was me haha

But I am happy to pick up that torch for CMW2

  • I think player numbers would drop if female characters were represented like that.

Then again they could rise or stay the same as those that leave get replaced by a completely different bunch of people.

And you contributed this wisdom why?

A fair response to the image you’ve posted. I wouldn’t want to see female warriors depicted like this in any game. It looks silly.
I also understand Steve’s point of view on the subject. I can only imagine what would happen with female warriors being decapitated and tea bagged while a knight jovially laughs. The criticism would turn from a lack of representation to gross torture porn. Also would require a different set of voices and perhaps animations so it doesn’t look like a male body with a females head.

  • id feel weird decapitating women, plus, women, aside from lesbians, are never funny so they couldnt even have good voice commands. i dunno if youre a horny teenager or what but seriously you can just beat your meat before you play so you dont bring this up all the time lol

Dynamic breast animations would definitely be hard to do.

That is so sexist. You realize you can kill girls in any MMO right? Lets treat girls like guys, trannies like either and not make a distinction.

Yeah but MMO violence is about as violent as two cardboard boxes fighting each other.

  • I am sure that there are already many porn games that will satisfy your need for virtual gurl, greg.

    This/10characters

  • If this were a “realistic” medieval game, I would say female warriors would be very out of place, since women very rarely engaged in actual combat of any kind throughout history, including the medieval period. Women did however possess quite a bit of power, both politically and socially throughout history. They were the heads of households and since the men were always fighting, they were the ones running the countries behind the scenes. Since this isn’t a COMPLETELY realistic medieval game, I think a female character variant should exist/be added.

  • Even if one was added wearing the same/similar armour as men the voice acting would still probably suck. Just saying.

  • I want the chick with three breasts from Total Recall.

  • Because violence against women is not liked. I saw some Hercules movie the other day, and I couldn’t help but notice how while every male contestant was sliced and diced by Hercules, the only present female contestant was trapped in her net. facepalm To me it would feel too out of place to have shrieking women on a medieval battlefield, fictional or not.

Actually it would be nice to have female peasants to r ape and pillage. To maybe burn them as witches, now we are talking. Goats, we need goats, sheep and live stock to slaughter and burn as well. I mean we are already taking dead bodies and poisoning water supplies, why cannot a few of those dead peasants be women? Seriously, how do these two factions breed? We could even rescue a queen or princess and escort her out of the castle an onto a ship or something. Hell how about sacking a convent? There were nuns back then, hello

    No Females…

  • Can we have a “violate the Queen” objective…?

    .>
    <.<

  • Well, I just like to imagine my Knight is a female whenever I want to have female warriors. You’d never be able to tell the difference between a Female/Male knight considering how much armor they wear. Same with Vanguard.

  • Yes, attacking team would have to kill the enemies and then there would be the “Hold E” thing to violate her. It would be easy to make if you add the appropriate, immersive, and historically accurate animations. It would be easy because it would basically be the same objective as holding E when you finish pushing the ram on stoneshill if you know what I mean. Only the attacking team would have the oil, if you catch my meaning.

Also I believe men were sodomized during the medieval times, so maybe you could add a bonus objective on stoneshill where you violate the king, then decapitate him or else he’d be able to regen from 0 health, this may add to the strategy levels used on that objective, as well as the immersion.

  • @Hitom:

    This whole thread is sexist…

    Boudica
    Catherine of Aragon
    Joan of Arc

    To name a few….

There were also Gladiatrix or female gladiators in ancient Rome. Guess what? They had armor too

History is repeat with armored female warriors of history. Do you home work.

But I would still prefer to have peasants, nuns and witches to butcher and burn.

Did I mention live stock? Goats, sheep, chickens, cows and the like need to be added so that I can also butcher and burn them.
