Multiple Server's Issue



  • So I’m having trouble running multiple dedicated servers on my machine. I can run each server independently but they won’t run at the same time. Whenever I start a server up after another one, I get

    In my log file. It is the correct destinations too. Each server has their own files and directories.

    Command Line - aocffa-moor_p?steamsockets -port=20215 -QueryPort=20219 -log=log.log sdkfileid= -seekfreeloadingserver

    With the port and query port different on each server.

    Any ideas?

    EDIT: There’s no Space in Logging. Forum is auto adding a space.

    No, they all have their own directories. That’s why it’s calling for…
    “in C:\TCAFiles\Users\admin\7\Binaries\Win64----”
    The other folders are like…

  • Got the second server to work by doing the UDK shortcut method and in the shortcut having….

    Which my commandline for the server is….

    So I’m thinking the shortcut workaround points to a commandline issue.



  • Doesn’t seem to be a command line issue, when copying the commandline and pasting it into command prompt the server starts up fine.

  • i think you need to add multihome parameter to NAT negotiation with server local ip address, lauchbatch example:

  • Updating this so if people in the future have a similar issue they will see some type of resolution.

    Still can’t get it to work like this, but after changing TCAdmin from “User per Service” to “Local System” (NOTE this is not safe!) it works now. It’s odd since you would think it’s a permission issue then but running it with the user in cmd works fine.

    Also another resolution is that I couldn’t get duelyard to download right (server would keep restarting if it was in startup map / map disabled if in maplist) was because "sdkfileid= " in the commandline didn’t have a dash infront of it. doh!



  • What are you specs? How many servers are you running on one machine? Are you running VMs per server? Are you running any custom map servers and are you running into the problems I am having with maps not rotating out?

    Xeon E3 1230v3, 16GB RAM. Just three currently (2 Chivalry 1 MC), average load being ~20% CPU, ~40% RAM.
    Nah no VMs.
    Maps rotating fine, the 2 issues I’m having is…

    • TCAdmin doesn’t want to run userper service mode where each server has it’s own user attached to it.
    • Some reason I can’t get custom maps to work as the startup map.


  • I havent had any problems starting a server with custom maps. Are you using the -sdkXXXXXXX number system in the command line? I am not and they seem to be working and updating fine without that. I just have problems with the server randomly locking up during map change where any map will not rotate out. Sometimes I can exit Shiv and hop back in the server, log in as admin and change map. Sometimes I have to reboot the server.
