Still no FiX or comments about Maps not rotating out.



  • Ugh I just did a complete wipe and fresh server install and maps are not rotating. In some cases, players cannot join but some can. So tired of servers not functioning as they should. ZERO remote admin support.



  • I think I have posted 5 or 6 of these and still no response. There has to be something or a setting that is preventing maps from rotating properly. I know I am not the only one.



  • Only time I had this issue was when I typed in the map name wrong for the next map in the server ini file. Like AOCTO-AOCTO-. Copy paste fails.



  • Out of curiosity how many maps rotate before problems happen?
    If you look in the pcserverudkgame.ini what settings do you have for maplistindex=



  • I was keeping a record of when a map would lock up. It appeared to happen every 20 maps. The problem is that once it started the next map would bug out. I started to use admin servertravel to get it to move and that sometimes worked, other times it would reload the same map. Recently I would restart the server and the very first map would lock up and start the process all over again.

    I originally had all the maps listed in the same location, example:

    and on. I know that if you set bDontAddSdkMapsToList=True to False, UDK will add all the custom maps and versions to the rotation below [AOC.AOCGame] section. So I tried only having 20 maps listed in the normal location and pasted the rest below. This did not resolve the effect and the those maps would rotate until the bug kicked in. It doesn’t matter which map, default or custom map, when it hits the 20th map it will lock up.

    Now I noticed that I have two folders named:
    TBSTO
    TBSTO2
    They are copies of the Config file and are identical to each other. I am thinking on deleting them and see if that has any effect.

    I deleted those to copies and the server rebooted but I am not able to test since I am at work and done have the game installed. I will check it later. Still not sure how or if that or the map index is relevent

  • Well I matched the map index with the number of maps in rotation and guess what? Nothing. Maps are still locking up.
