Advanced Combat AI Mod



  • Hi everyone.
    The main question is: am I able to mimic human player’s combat style for AI with controlling different kinds of attacks available ingame, using feints etc? Final goal: creation of some kind of ‘ideal player’ with the difficulty tuning.

    I also don’t have any experience with UDK so any links and specific suggestions where to start are welcome. The question raised from the fact that I’m not sure if I can have such a control on the specific game mechanics with UDK as described above.



  • Yes, you can write arbitrary intelligent and complex AI. At least unrealscript provides you with the possibility but it may take a while to get into.

    I wrote some custom AI for my map ‘Horde Sandcastle’ which features bots which can not be beat by the average player called ‘Horde Bruiser’.
    Admittedly, they have infinite stamina, a tower shield, dodging ability, knight armor and a super sized sword lol).
    All bots are modified to some extend from the AI done by TB.

  • Currently interested. Can you make better bots? How about trying to get them to be able to walk out of spawn first.

    Sounds like anybody willing to look at uscript can do that.
