Winning

What will winning mean in Mirage? One of the gripes I have with Chivalry is that there was not really any tension around the end of the game. Whether I win or lose is pretty much meaningless.
All I ask is for a number that goes up when I win.
-
I think the use of ranged magic and other unique abilities of each class will level the playing field and make a skill gap non-existent.
Kind of like in chivalry, no matter what you do, a level 50 ballerina is obsolete against a good archer at range.
-
What? All I’m asking for is an incentive to win.
Debalanced teams are a whole different problem.
-
@Skindiacus Oh my bad I misunderstood what you were saying. What kind of incentive are you talking about?
-
@That-Chiv-Vet Really just a number that goes up.
-
@Skindiacus You’re looking for Matches Won/Lost stats?
-
@Reithur Yeah. That would work.
-
Can there be win/loss stats recorded for you on each team on each map?
It would be nice to see how much I win on one team compared to the other, and of course that will vary from map to map.

Doubt it as you can apperently “Block everything.”
As long as the audio feedback of ranged attacks/magic is recognizeable and loud enough, I don’t really see a reason how it would lower the skill gap, instead I believe it would be increased.

We’re already talking about what kind of stats tracking we’ll have in Mirage.
I just spent all of PAX telling everyone who stopped by that you can parry all the things, including explosions, so a ranged opponent in Mirage doesn’t nullify someone who’s paying attention to that ranged opponent.
