Clan Combat Classification (Discussion Thread)

Clans will be classified by the point gap in their CLAN WAR W/L ratio. Hopefully this idea will encourage clans to do wars more often.
Heavyweight: +15
Cruiserweight: +10
Middleweight: +5
Welterweight: 0
Lightweight: -5
Featherweight: -10
Bantamweight: -15
SDS (26-15) +11 (Crusierweight)
TGL (14-3) +11 (Cruiserweight)
GOA (5-4) +1 (Welterweight)
Syndicate (1-0) +1 (Welterweight)
Pubstars (0-2) -2 (Welterweight)
STYB (0-7) -7 (Lightweight)
This is only an idea so please feel free to discuss and offer ideas/constructive criticism.

I think using losses probably won’t work. Cause if SDS and TGL continue fighting and one clan has the upper hand and wins the most, it would knock the other down a rank where they would still dominate the other clans.

I see where you are coming from it is too easy to move up or down and dominate.
The problem is that there are too few clans and not enough wars fought, so throwing losses into the equation levels the field.

@Hoplite-x-Viz
Really, I think any type of organization probably won’t work. Can barely get clans to agree to a war format or rules, and most clans just break up and disband early.Maybe if you got clans to agree to league play or something, you could get some type of ranking system from that.
Get at least 5-6 clans involved. Make a schedule, either one or two matches a week. Don’t have to be specific days, as long the match is done that week. Make sure every team faces each other at least twice. Give a point for each win, settle any ties at the end. Ranking AND more wars.

@AK Anyways. I like the idea. I’m hoping to adapt something like this into the active clans thread and classify clans as either “Elite” or “Amateur”
-
This is a great idea. Hopefully it’ll encourage more people to join the comp scene, although we’d probably have to find a way to stop the top dawgs grinding wins from newer clans.

It was @AK’s idea originally, I just built a draft.

@Hoplite-x-Viz I wouldn’t base it on wins. Just the kind of players they have on their roster. We could even go as far as to start giving players ratings.
Honduras Akemi - 5 point player
Osk - 5 point player
TGL Error- 5 point playerMogzy - 4 point player
Happy Cards- 4 point playerPiplur- 3 point player
AK kauser- 3 point player
Jefdel- 3 point player2 point players… 1 point players etc…
These are purely examples/\ /\Anyways, the clans top 6 members are rated to form the clans rating, being elite or Amateur.
17> Elite
Anything 17 or below considered amateur.(Copied and pasted from another thread)

@AK 10/10 name choice.
-
imo player rank wouldn’t really work either. Same with playing time…
Both don’t necessarily correlate to skill.
Like I have 9999 hours put in and I’m just an average comp player nowadays

Well either way this is a good idea and since most clans are on the forums we should be able to keep track of all the wins/losses with the clan list AK made. :) Maybe we could incorporate where if a lower tier clan challenges a higher tier clan to war they would have more to gain so they would have an incentive to war with all clans. Just a thought though.
-
@Akemi-Homura I don’t doubt your skill but just cause I think you’re the best doesn’t mean Roffle or someone else does.
What I mean is that ranking player by “skill” is highly subjective. How about by rank?

Ya, I definitely agree with that too. I don’t want to completely discourage “amateur clans” (debatable name…) to stop warring with the elite clans

I got to go to bed but feel free to post more ideas. I thank everybody in this thread for their imput and we got plenty of time to come up with a final draft.
-
The hell does piplur get 3 points but i get -2

@Hoplite-x-Viz if you want to make a system like this, you need an objective rating system, based on skills needed to be good at Chiv, like footwork, drags, etc… Kinda like Competitive Chivalry trading cards.
