Round Three of the Mirage: Arcane Warfare Public Closed Alpha begins tomorrow, Nov 17! We plan to have servers live by approximately 2pm ET (watch this space!).

The Alpha, which started September 2016, will provide select participants with the opportunity to playtest Mirage and provide feedback to help shape the direction of the game as we move towards its release in 2017.

We are gradually adding new participants into the Alpha, based on our ongoing list of registered members from our sign-up on

Like the earlier rounds of the Alpha, this round will last for 4 days and with a limited pool of participants.

    Our usual FAQ:

I was in a previous round. Am I in Round Three now?

Yes, you’re automatically in and we want you to play again! You can launch the Alpha on Steam as before. Anyone invited will have Alpha access for all future rounds.

I didn’t get a key! How do I get in?

If you have not been invited to the Alpha yet, please be patient and we will hope to get you a key in the near future. We cannot guarantee that all registrants will get a key, but we are working to include as many dedicated testers as possible.

Can I pay to get in?

No, the Alpha is free and limited to registrants. Access is limited to registrants on This is our opportunity to get people volunteering their time to playtest Mirage, providing us with feedback so we can iterate on our development of Mirage as we move towards launch.

How long will the Alpha last?

The first round of the Alpha ran from 9/29 to 10/3. The second round will run from 10/20 to 10/24. The third round will run from 11/17 to 11/21. More rounds will follow throughout the rest of 2016. The Alpha does not yet have a determined end date.

The Closed Alpha is under a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA). What does the NDA mean?

Anyone with access to the Closed Alpha is encouraged to play Mirage and provide feedback directly to developers in our member-only forum. For those who are now participating in the Closed Alpha, visit to provide us with your essential feedback in the private Closed Alpha subcategory. As per the terms of the NDA, Closed Alpha participants are not allowed to share any information about Mirage outside of that member-only forum.

    When will the Beta begin?

The Beta will begin in 2017. We will provide more details in the near future about how players can gain access to the Beta. It will not be under NDA.

I registered for the “Beta” on your website a while ago. Am I in the Alpha?

If you previously registered with your email address on for what we were calling the “Beta” (prior to August 2016), then yes, you are in our Alpha registration list.

I got an invite this week, but did not get a key or access to the Closed Alpha forum

This applies to Alpha round invitation holders only: keys will be sent out the day the Alpha goes live. If you have not yet been given access to the Closed Alpha section of the forums, or have not yet received a Mirage Closed Alpha key as of the next Alpha round “live date”, please post into the Alpha Support thread. If you were not invited to an Alpha round yet, you will not be given a key or access to the Closed Alpha Forum (we will double check any requests to ensure they are legitimate).

What do I need to run the Mirage Alpha?

You need a Windows PC and a Steam account. We do not yet have information on recommended computer hardware specifications.

I have questions that aren’t answered here!

Please leave a post in our forums and we’ll get back to you.

Servers going live very soon! Stay tuned as we throw some more coal into the engine.

Edit: Alpha Round 3 is live!

  • I was invited, completed the Google doc and I still haven’t gotten a key. Is something wrong?

  • Developer

@autobro Hi, the email you used to complete the survey did not match the email you registered with.

  • @Killer-Crabs Can I just edit the doc? I have two extensions that email uses and I didn’t remember which I signed up with.

  • Developer

@autobro yeah, if you fill it out again, use the email address the invite was sent to.

  • @Killer-Crabs I havent gotten my key either :/ And I’m quite sure I signed up with the same email?

  • I have the same problem. Haven’t received my key and I am 100% sure I used the same email address.

  • I’ve filled out the form and all but I’m still awaiting the key.

  • Developer

@Hevitofu @Zenjubo looks like you guys just completed the form. There’s some manual work involved in sending out the keys, you’ll get it shortly.

  • I finished the registration form yesterday and don’t have a key yet.

  • Developer

@HigginsHere It doesn’t look like you were invited to this round of testing.

  • @Killer-Crabs So even if I got an email saying I was invited, it can mean I wasn’t invited? Or was it because I completed the form 1 day late? alt text
    Oh well. That sucks.

  • @HigginsHere That email is your invitation. If you completed the form, you will receive a key when we send them out via email; it’s not an automated process.

We’ve been sending out keys & updating forum permissions twice per day.

  • Developer

@HigginsHere Did we send that invite to an alternate email of yours? You need provide the same email as the one that form was sent to.

  • @Killer-Crabs Nope. I used the same email for this account that I got the invite on. I did the form a second time if that helps.
