Round Six of the Mirage: Arcane Warfare Public Closed Alpha will run Thursday March 2 to end-of-day Sunday March 5. We plan to have servers live by approximately 3pm EST on March 2 or before.

Round Six is the final round, and your last chance to get in before the Mirage Beta begins in the coming weeks.

The Alpha, which started September 2016, will provide select participants with the opportunity to playtest Mirage and provide feedback to help shape the direction of the game as we move towards its release in 2017.

We’re sorry if you didn’t get an Alpha invite yet! Please watch your inbox over the next week.

Each round we have gradually added new participants into the Alpha, based on our ongoing list of registered members from our sign-up on While we can’t offer guarantees, we are trying our best to get every person who has signed up into the Alpha – if you registered early and think you’ve been missed, please send an email to contact[at]tornbanner[dot]com.

    Our usual FAQ:

The Closed Alpha is under a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA). What does the NDA mean?

Our NDA rules have recently been updated. Please read this post for full details. Text-only conversation is allowed on the Mirage subreddit, Steam Community, Torn Banner Forums and the Mirage Discord. Image and video content of the Alpha is not allowed to be shared anywhere.

Anyone with access to the Closed Alpha is encouraged to play Mirage and provide feedback directly to developers in our forum.

I was in a previous round. Am I in this round now?

Yes, you’re automatically in and we want you to play again! You can launch the Alpha through the Mirage: Arcane Warfare Public Test app on Steam as before. Anyone invited will have Alpha access for all future rounds, allow Steam to update the game, then launch it again.

I didn’t get a key! How do I get in?

If you have not been invited to the Alpha yet, please be patient and we will hope to get you a key in the near future. We cannot guarantee that all registrants will get a key, but we are working to include as many dedicated testers as possible. If you registered and think you’ve been missed, please send an email to And always be sure to check your junk mail before asking!

Can I pay to get in?

No, the Alpha is free. Access is limited to registrants on This is our opportunity to get people volunteering their time to playtest Mirage, providing us with feedback so we can iterate on our development of Mirage as we move towards launch.

How long will the Alpha last?

Alpha 6 is the final Alpha round. The schedule has been:

    • Alpha 1: 9/29/2016 to 10/3/2016
    • Alpha 2: 10/20/2016 to 10/24/2016
    • Alpha 3: 11/17/2016 to 11/21/2016
    • Alpha 4: 12/15/2016 - 12/18/2016
    • Alpha 5: 2/2/2017 - 2/5/2016
    • Alpha 6: 3/2/2017 - 3/5/2017

    When will the Beta begin?

The Beta will begin in 2017. We will provide more details in the near future about how players can gain access to the Beta. It will not be under NDA.

I registered for the “Beta” on your website a while ago. Am I in the Alpha?

If you previously registered with your email address on for what we were calling the “Beta” (prior to August 2016), then yes, you are in our Alpha registration list.

I am in the Alpha but do not have access to the Closed Alpha forum

The Closed Alpha forum is now open for access to anyone.

What do I need to run the Mirage Alpha?

You need a 64bit Windows PC and a Steam account. We do not yet have information on recommended computer hardware specifications.

I have questions that aren’t answered here!

Please leave a post in our forums and we’ll get back to you.
