Server lag: most annoying bug
The most annoying bug in Chiv 2 is a ‘server lag’.
No matter what real ping you have! The thing that matters is the server load.
When the server is overloaded with many players or hard-to-compute scenes, ping value also grows. But even with normal ping of 40-50 I could not play sometime because of server lags!!!
When server goes laggin, hits are missing, arrows and projectiles just disappear or do no damage. All the time you play.
It is seen clearly that ping starts from 28 at start and end of the round, and in a battle it could jump up to 60 - because it’s a server load mark, not the ping. According to >ping -t 220.127.116.11 my ping is constant 48ms.
This happens because what server sees and does differs from player sees, e.g. lags. Please upgrade your G-Core servers in EU! It looks they don’t have enough memory or speed to handle complicated stages of maps with many players.
The worst server in EU is Paris classic. It feels like you are playing on Australian server from Europe - missing hits and projectiles, enemies appearing from nowhere. My K:D ratio falls from 3:1 to 1:3 on this server!!!
P.S. My PC setup is enough: Xeon @3.5GHz, GTX 970, 32Gb RAM, Windows 8.1. Lvl 115 now, so I have enough experience to compare gameplay on different servers.
