Will a map creator ever happen? (UDK/SDK)

As the title says, I’d like to know (preferably from the developers) if they plan on releasing some sort of level editor/creator. I think something like this would give the game unlimited longevity and especially more sales. I’m aware, though, that doing such a thing isn’t cheap, that’s why I’m curious.

Yes, the UDK is already out there; people are already making maps.

I was merely trying to broaden your horizons. The search function is a very useful tool.
Would it have been so “hard” to type SDK and click search?

I believe there are plans for an SDK/asset kit at some point in the future to making mapping/modding easier, too, but right now the devs have a lot on their plate for fixes and new content.
