Doesn't this look interesting?

Don’t know if it’s a hoax or not but I sure looks promising if it were real.

Notch is correct this has been here for a while it’s nothing new.
Devs should just ignore it and so should you other people too.

We will see if the technology will evolve in a 10 years time no bother looking at it now though for game use.

That’s what they said about 3D graphics in general.

“Hoax” or not (it’s clearly not a hoax, that’s some impressive technology in that video - it’s more a matter of “how honest” it is), there’s no doubt in my mind we’ll be seeing breakthroughs in this and many other advancements sooner than most people think. 10 years time turns into 5 years time turns into next year within several months, sometimes. Whether it’s these guys (probably not, but who knows) or someone else, you can’t deny there’s progress every day. There are already engines that utilize this kind of technology, it’s only a matter of scale - just like there were for a long time game engines that could render 3D images but were primarily 2D, it was just a matter of “how long until our games are more 3D than 2D”.

  • You are correct, you never know what steps development can take. But people in the 1960’s though we would have robot maids would be common place and such now, well if you know where i can get one :) .
Your guess is as good as mine, but I doubt there will be much quick development on this frontm, as there are some important limitations.

  • You’re confusing science fiction speculation with actual technological development ;)

  • Haha ha haa, Not really. It’s all a matter of prespective, but anyway we’ll see. ;)

  • I’m certainly curious as to what developers will be daring enough to try their development kit first.
