Increase everyones health by 25-50%

    Fact: You cannot balance like 20 weapons if they kill people in the same amount of hits

    So, increase everyones health so heavy weapons like mauls and double axes are actually good weapons and each weapons take different amounts of hits to kill classes and come with their own drawbacks.

    There really is no downside to this.

    I think your idea of “balance” is very simplistic if you think weapons are balanced through damage only. Leave the balancing to people who actually have a clue, unlike you.

    Okay Mr. Smartguy, lets break it down like this

    Why would you ever use a Double Axe when you can use a Maul? They both 2 shot every class and unlike the axe, the maul 1 shots VGs at the head.

    Why would you ever use a maul when you can use a warhammer? You can use a shield and it is much faster to swing.

    Why would you ever use anything except a norse sword for MAA? It can 2 shot everything except knights which it can 3 shot? Why would you ever use any other weapon for MAA when it has the best reach and swing speed and it can do that much damage?

    Why would you ever use a brandistock or a fork when you can use a spear? The spear 2 shots MAA, VG and 3 shots knights (I HOPE YOU ARE SEEING A PATTERN) and it has the longest range of them all.

    Why use anything else except the halberd for VG? It 2 shots everything except knights which it 3 shots. It has really high range and can combo attack. The spear cannot combo attack fyi.

    Ill tell you why you pretentious cock, its because all the weapons do too much damage in relation to health. There will be weapons that are plain better because the amount of hits it takes to kill people is bordering 1-4 for every weapon. You cannot differentiate and add meaningful variety if the majority of weapons kill in 2-3 hits.

    Can you comprehend that differentiating weapons can be done in more ways than fiddling with the damage? Every 2h sword is supposed to kill in the same amounts of hits, what differs is the speed and reach, so you can choose whichever suits you best. You don’t need every weapon to have it’s specific amount of hits to kill, that would be just idiotic.
    The other two stats are just as important as damage, get that into your thick head and you’ll see that the current state is just fine.

    I agree, in order to balance you have to do more than just look at damage. For example, the Maul than knights have can pretty much one shot an archer and MaA with a overhead strike, but the weakness is the speed. Anyone with skill can destroy a knight with the Maul 1v1 because this game is not about tanking damage, it is about evading, blocking, and countering like you would do in a real fight

    Sure, some weapons definitely do have the advantage, but that’s just the way it is if you are going to play a game which has the goal of being a realistic as possible for a video game.

    The OP has no idea about Medieval warfare in general.

    Oh, I didn’t know knights and swordsmen could regenerate health on the battlefield.

    This is a very effective way to fix the problem of having a whole bunch of useless weapons and only a handful of weapons actually usable. But, with all smart things, the ignorants cannot comprehend that so they must voice their uneducated and misguided opinions to suppress it.
