Knocking Enemy Down

Was thinking it would be intresting if a really strong attack has a chance to floor an opponant but not kill , the enemy would then have to fight on the ground with slower reaction times , slower attacking speeds etc… and the screen could possibly become distorted slightly if it was a hard hit.

There are plans to allow heavier damaging swings certain advantages including causing your opponent to lose balance… but you will not see players on the ground in Chivalry unless they are dead, this is because they love their kingdoms and refuse to allow their knees to buckle while they still breathe ;) .

One way to incorporate knockdown is to use something similar to UT3’s Feign Death. If that could happen, hard hits could force the player into ragdoll for about half a second before they automatically get back up.
It probably seems simpler than it actually is, though.

I would love to see some executions , they sure pump up the adrenaline and cant get boring to watch . Mybe system seeNAble in some games where you end up knocked on the floor and your atacker can finish you up with some style (afcourse - add some sprecial AOC element in it ) … just sayin …

lol like in AoC where u can stab peoples heads off with the crusader stab. that would be an awesome automatic execution!!!
