I’m always tempted to yell commands in voice to organise my team, but am leery of doing so when my enemies can hear it, too. I like the realism of my nearby enemies being able to hear and react to my commands, but it would be nice to be able to tell pubbies to “Come, this way, we’re gonna sneak around and futtbuck their archers, there will be glory for all,” or something to that effect, yet that would warn the archers 200 yards away that we’re coming. Guess where their arrows will be pointing when we round the corner? The current Z-menu does not provide enough options for my satisfaction.
Maybe team-only would be too much, and something more DayZ-like with a voice broadcast radius would work. Maybe team-only is a necessity if you don’t want to try to convince a bunch of pubs to get on a VOIP app (not going to happen). Maybe there’s a middle-ground.

Tiberius said they are working on making the voip “not suck”. So they are improving it, how exactly I am not sure. But they know it is not where it needs to be.
I am happy with just team voip. That works for me. When I play with clan mates we use mumble, but the occasional time to communicate with pub teammates might be nice.
From my perspective, if it’s trading between the ability to demoralise my enemies and the ability to organise my allies, I’ll take organisation any day.
I would love to see a perimeter based voip so that it compliments the realism. Hopefully the volume would fade over distance.
