Large resolution performance issues

  • I ran this with a 3 monitor setup 5760x1080 and boy oh boy my computer took a hard hit. Huge performance issues. Has anyone else tried this?

    setup:
    Core I7-950
    12GB triple channel ram
    2 x GTX 570

  • You essentially have a 590(2x570). But what I’m curious about is, are your 570s the 1.28gb or 2.5gb version? If it’s the former, then you could be potentially hitting your VRAM cap and causing your performance to plummet. Not exact uncommon at that high of a res.

  • You are correct. Mine are both 1280MB.
What settings use vram? Are there any options to lower consumption?

  • There are known SLI/CrossFire issues at the moment. Try running with a single card (deactivate in software) to see if that boosts performance.

If I use only one card, I’ll only be able to use two monitors (instead of 3). This does not achieve the goal. It is currently playable using a smaller resolution (only one monitor), but that is not the issue.
