Question on helmets

  • What’s the correct terminology for the armor helmets the characters in this game wear? I could use some help figuring this out for some of my writing.

I have a few guess, but if anyone could fill in the blanks.

Agatha Knight: “fluted helm’” is right, isn’t it? That’s what I thought it was called.

Mason Knight: Err… this is just a chainmail hood, isn’t it?

    Man at Arms: ?

Vanguard: Is “kettle helm” the right word? I don’t remember for sure.

    Any help would be appreciated.

Kind of hard to google something you don’t know the proper name of.

Well, I suppose I could spend an hour or two guessing at names. But I figured someone would be willing to help explain, so I thought I’d post this.

And when someone logs on to a forum, even a just game forum, to ask for help, please don’t just go to their topic to tell them “figure it out yourself lololol”. That’s really annoying to me.

  • If you don’t know the names of specific helmets, try to look for lists of helmets.

Vanguards have great helmets. Agatha archers have a kettle hat of sorts. Veteran Mason men at arms have a viking helmet of sorts and the default one have a norman helmet. (no vikings didn’t have horns on their helmets)

Hopefully you’ll find the other helmets or something close enough on one of those sites, if not google for more helmets. Seriously, google is your friend.

I understand. Sorry to bother, and thank you for the the help. This list is perfect.

I am not very good with medieval stuff at all, and searching for names is frustrating and time consuming for me. This list is a huge help. Thank you again.
