Reporting a racist in 'Official TO server'

  • Some guy going by ‘Dez Nutz’ in the Official TO server #2 - Multiplay seemed to think it the height of hilarity to endlessly spam ‘kill the n–----’ and variations of that over voice chat every few minutes.

Started a vote to kick, vote failed. This of course resulted in me getting kicked a few minutes later because people like to be edgy nerds on the internet and/or they’re all closet racists anyway.

Posting this here in the vain hope that someone linked to the game cares about the behaviour of people playing on there and a server op wants to moderate that. Ta.

  • In the near future we will have a better way of notifying a moderator/admin (if one is on Steam at the time) of a problem on Official Servers. We’re still working on how it will work, what kind of offenses are worthy of summoning an admin, etc.

  • That’s good to hear. I think the problem right now is people showing as [unknown] when using voice chat, and you can’t mute them (?).

Honestly a good quick solution would be to create a steam group for those servers and advertise it here so people can join it and report problems (either that or create a private report forum here when users can only post and view replies to their posts by admins).

Already in the works. It will posted and made public soon! :)
